Dearest friends:
A small core group has been
established from the parish to participate in the “Making All Things New” endeavor
of the Archdiocese to establish better pastoral forms and more efficient
practical norms in all the parishes of the Church of New York. Soon this group
will be meeting to think of ways in which a “cluster” of parishes could
possibly work together, sharing resources, personnel etc...as things progress,
you will be informed so as to be up to date on the happenings in our communities.
We pray that just as Zacchaeus was bold in this Sunday’s Gospel, so we may be
in building vibrant parish communities through the “Making All Things New”
program. We are encouraged today when we realize that even though we may think
that Jesus does not notice us, or hear our pleas, He is very keen on what is
happening in our lives, so much so that he invites Himself in a very intimate
way, (through our eating of the Eucharist,) to walk with us and help us along
the way. Jesus invited Himself to Zacchaeus’ house and changed his outlook on
things and gave him dignity. Jesus wishes to do the same for YOU today. Feel

WELCOME
BACK PILGRIMS!
To
all our parishioners who travelled to the Holy Land and have returned safely
this past Friday, we hope that you experienced many blessings in your travels.
We hope that these experiences will be shared with all in one way or another.
If anyone would like to write a short reflection to share with everyone here in
the bulletin, please submit it to Father Rudy soon.

CONGRATULATIONS MEMBERS OF SAINT MARTIN DE PORRES SOCIETY.....
On this the feast day of our beloved Martin de Porres, may each
member be inspired by his humility and his need to be of service to others.
Many thanks also for making breakfast for the community. All are welcome to the
hall after the 10am mass.
When God lives in us, His glory is
manifested through the fruit of His grace. He invited Himself into our homes
and we have welcomed Him. For those of us who have received God in our homes,
let us be thankful to the Lord for coming to us. For those who have not
received the Lord God in their homes or those who no longer have His Sacred Presence
in their homes, it is never too late to repent and to welcome the Lord Jesus to
return. For the Lord is a God of love, grace and mercy. He does not wish to see
that any be lost. As we continue with the celebration of the Holy Mass, let us
pray for those who do not have the indwelling of the Lord God in their homes.
Let us ask the Lord to reach out to these souls so that they too may partake in
the universal salvation plan of God.
MAKING
ALL THINGS NEW
God
our Father, through the Gospel and the Eucharist, You bring us together as Your
Church in the Archdiocese of new York. Send us Your Holy Spirit, to enlighten
our minds and guide our actions as we plan for the future of parish life in this
Archdiocese. Help us learn new ways to strengthen and revitalize our parish communities,
and to be good stewards of the spiritual and material gifts that sustain them.
Bless our work, so that our
parishes
may continue to witness to the truth of the Gospel, and be a sign of Your love
for all people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Queridísimos amigos:
Un grupo pequeño de feligreses ha
sido organizado para participar en el proyecto “haciendo todo Nuevo” en la arquidiócesis,
en la cual trataremos de establecer mejores maneras pastorales y económicas
para que las parroquias de nuestra área funcionen a la mejor capacidad posible.
Habrán cambios pastorales y
prácticos para nuestra área. También, habrán cuestionarios distribuidos a
feligreses seleccionados de la comunidad para que los llenen y los
devuelvan en una semana. Valoramos
sus opiniones y que los devuelvan completados. Si alguien desea participar puede
recoger un cuestionario en la oficina parroquial. Después de conseguir estos
cuestionarios, seremos parte de una agrupación de parroquias del área para
posiblemente
trabajar juntos, compartiendo
recursos, personal, programas pastorales etc... Rezamos que así como Zacheo fue
arriesgado y busco a Jesús, así también nosotros seamos valientes en nuestra
colaboración en este proyecto “Haciendo todo nuevo” El evangelio de hoy nos
ensena, que aunque a veces pensemos que Jesús no se fija en nosotros, El esta
muy al tanto de nuestras vidas, tanto que El se invita a si mismo, en una manera
intima, (la Sagrada Comunión) a caminar con nosotros y ayudarnos. Jesús se
invito a la casa de Zacheo y cambio su vida y la manera en que se veía el mismo
y su vida, y Jesús le dio dignidad. El Señor desea hacer lo mismo en nosotros
hoy. Eres bendecido! Que tenga una buena semana!!

Dios
Nuestro Padre, a través del Evangelio y la Eucaristía, Tu nos reúnes como Tu
Iglesia en la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York. Envíanos tu Espíritu Santo, para que
ilumine nuestras
mentes
y guie nuestras acciones así como nosotros planificamos el futuro de la vida parroquial
en esta Arquidiócesis. Ayúdanos a aprender nuevos caminos para fortalecer
y
revitalizar nuestras comunidades parroquiales, y ser buenos servidores de los
dones espirituales y materiales que los sostienen. Bendice nuestro trabajo,
para que nuestras par
roquias
puedan continuar el testimonio de la verdad del Evangelio, y sean un signo de Tu
